The community came together  for an earth building sculptural project for the Prairie Walk Park, led by Denver artist Nikki Pike and Joes artist Maureen Hearty. Inspired by the building history of the plains homesteaders; having no  available trees or rocks they built sod houses from the earth. Instead of using sod, we used cob; a mixture of sand, clay and straw.
